Raggedy Andy and Annie Window Painting - I painted this old wooden framed 28" x 25" window frame white with country red checkers. Annie and Andy, blue checkered heart and hearts are all painted on the window using a sealant medium mixed in the acrylic paint for adhesion and protection. Andy's newspaper hat is cut from 1/8" baltic birch and Annie's bow is country red gingham fabric. Both are glued on with an epoxy adhesive. Annie also has a cotton lace collar, slightly painted blue, and button attached on her neck. I also attached a 24" x 7" shelf at the bottom of the window to make this a very usuable art piece. This piece is for sale on my Etsy shop - Cherables Crafts. There are more pictures available at the shop.
“The Whispers of Fall” –
A multi medium collage painting using wood, paint and paper mache
Fall is my favorite season. As a fall leaf goes through the 4 colors of change and then falls to the ground I think of it as a "whisper" but beautiful. I created this collage to represent that cycle for the maple leaf. Using paper mache maple leaves I painted each one to represent the turning of their colors. I then had my husband cut out my title "The Whispers of Fall" out of 1/8" baltic birch and painted the words. I used acrylic paints applying with brushes, sponges and palette knives. There is a hint of gold throughout the painting. This is an original painting, signed on the back. The canvas is 16" x 20" and I did leave room for a frame. The entire piece is varnished multiple times to give this high glossy look. This piece is for sale at my Etsy shop - Cherables Crafts. www.etsy.com
